Computational Reckoning

Size: 6" x 6"
Medium: Prismacolor Colored Pencils
Surface: Acid-Free Archival Strathmore Paper
Style: Abstract / Realism
Artist: Thaneeya McArdle

This elaborately detailed drawing is part of my new Deep Thinkers series, in which various animals are juxtaposed with evidence of human thought, in the form of mathematical equations, quotes, definitions, musical scores, etc. These pieces depict a zen-like transcendent bridge between conceptual thinking and animalistic consciousness. These two contrasts are united by a careful use of color and decorative design. This piece depicts a black and white feathered rooster in front of a series of Japanese mathematical equations. This artwork is entirely hand-drawn using Prismacolor colored pencils. The paper has a 1" border around all four edges to allow for easy matting and framing.

This artwork is available for purchase here.
